Athenaeum and Robinson Cups

Entries are requested for the 1982 debating season by 15 March please to the Treasurer Mr Colin Garstang. Note the costs are $3-00 per team for either Athenaeum or Robinson Cup.

Novices Cup

Due to the increasing number of teams entering the Novice Section, it has been decided to call for entries earlier than usual.

It is hoped to arrange the first debate prior to the May Holidays and the remaining 3 in the second term, thus (hopefully) avoiding examination problems in the third term. Remember:

  1. It is important to have proxies
  2. Debaters must not change teams without prior permission from the Vice-President in charge

Thank you for your co-operation. The success of the season depends on an accurate draw and this is only possible if the contingencies can be calculated well in advance

Presidents' Trophy - Impromptu Debating Cup

To be held at Mount Eden Normal Intermediate School at 7-30pm on Monday 15 March. Entries will be taken on the night. Fee $1-00 per team - 50 cents per spectator.

Moots: Given on the night

Teams: Comprise 2 debaters

Truly a feast programme for us all.

Good debating!

Peter Beale
Secretary
