Minutes of the 2000 Annual General Meeting of the Auckland Debating Association Incorporated
Held at 714 Richardson Road, Hillsborough at 2pm on Sunday 30th April, 2000
President took the Chair and the meeting was opened at 2.29pm

Apologies were accepted from Auckland Grammar School, Massey High School, Waiheke High School, Jan Gow, D. Moffatt
Minutes of the Last Meeting
The minutes of the 1997 Annual General Meeting were taken as read and adopted as a true and correct record.
President's Report
THAT the President's report be taken as read and received.
Carried
Financial Statements
The Financial Statements for the year were presented, showing the surplus for the year to be $109. The Balance Sheet showed the position at 31 December 1999 to be assets $7,307 and liabilities nil.
THAT the Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 1999 be approved and adopted.

THAT W. Parks be requested to assist in putting the accounts and balance sheet in order.

Election of Executive Members
O. Henning was appointed as Treasurer
P. Adams and W. Parks were appointed as committee members.
W. McDougall was appointed as Vice-President
General Business
THAT the letter from Massey High School be received.

THAT schools be reminded that round two debates may be extended into term II with the consent of both teams.

THAT the letter from Onehunga High School be received.
Carried
THAT the rules for the schools competitions be amended to remove the requirement for schools that have been defaulted against to notify the ADA that any ADA arranged venue or adjudicator is no longer required.

There being no further business, W. McDougall declared the meeting closed at 3.48pm.
